PenFed Military Heros Program - Whether active duty or retired, our service members are pillars of their communities. Through our Military Heroes Program, the PenFed Foundation provides high impact grants that celebrate the leadership and selfless service of military members and support the transition from service to civilian life.

Hurlburt Retiree Newsletter - The Hurlburt Field Force Support Squadron provides a monthly magazine with many topics of interest to military personnel.  They feature a "Retiree Corner" which has an area to sign up for their newslette and a link to view the entire Hurlburt Life magazine.

MOAA's Surviving Spouse Page - MOAA continues to champion the issues of the surviving spouse community while providing expert guidance for financial and retirement planning for its members. Click above to find links to critical advocacy issues as well as member-exclusive resources and benefits.

Florida Council of Chapters Communique Newsletter - Keep up on MOAA chapters around the state of Florida. The Communique provides a unique forum for businesses to reach a select segment of the population.  The membership is partriotic and professional.

Welcome Home Vets, Inc. - Welcome Home Vets, Inc. is a non profit organization, 501 (c)(3) established in 2006 by three military veterans. Located in Melborne, FL. Honor and assist our military personnel from all wars, recognized conflicts, peacekeeping or humanitarian actions and peace time missions. Welcome Home, Vets, Inc. raises funds for the care and support of Florida veterans and their families.

Okaloosa County Department of Veteran Services - The department provides complete veterans' assistance, information, and counseling for filing, developing and appealing claims pertaining to the full spectrum of veterans' entitlements. The department also visits homebound and/or nursing home clients through its outreach program. This program is especially helpful to older veterans and their surviving spouses.

Emerald Coast Professionals (ECP) - ECP is a regional program of the Career Source One-stop Career Centers for Okaloosa and Walton Counties in Florida that offers networking and career support for professionals.

Career Source One-Stop - The Workforce Development Board of Okaloosa and Walton Counties is a non-profit organization that:

  • Identifies and facilitates the management of workforce issues in our local community
  • Convenes the appropriate organizations and individuals to address them
  • Oversees the daily delivery of employment and training services to employers, workers, and job seekers through the One-Stop Career Centers

American Red Cross - The American Red Cross helps prepare communities for emergencies and keep people safe every day thanks to caring people who support the organization.

National Museum of the US Air Force - The National Museum of the United States Air Force (formerly the United States Air Force Museum) is the official National Museum of the United States Air Force and is located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, near Dayton, Ohio. The NMUSAF is the world's largest and oldest military aviation museum.

USO - Since before the United States entered World War II, the USO (United Service Organizations) has been the bridge between the American public and the U.S. military.

AIR FORCE ARMAMENT MUSEUM - Experience the aviation warfare armament from the early days of World War I right through to today's high tech planes and bombs. Inside, you'll find an extensive collection of weaponry and interactive displays that will amaze and intrigue. Outside displays include vintage military aircraft including the fastest plane ever built - the SR-71 Blackbird!

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS - The Florida Department of Veterans Affairs provides information, loans, grants, healthcare services, housing, employment services, VA benefits, and VA services available to qualified veterans and their family & dependents.

US DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS - The US Department of Veterans Affairs provides patient care and federal benefits to veterans and their dependents. The Department of Veterans Affairs provides links to veterans benefits and services, as well as information and resources for other Departmental programs and offices.

DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS - Disabled veterans need to know about all the services that are available to them free of charge from the DAV.

VETERANS SUBSTANCE ABUSE RESOURCES - Substance abuse and mental health disorders are a concern in the military and not only affect the professional lives of our service members but also their personal lives. Treatment is crucial to the support of our veterans looking to improve their lives. VA resources are available with various treatments for veterans across the United States. This site contains a wealth of helpful information and resources for active and retired military members and families.
